When choosing your wedding photographer, please take your time. Your photographer is one of the most important parts of the wedding. You will need to feel comfortable and mesh well with your photographer's personality. A good photographer will show interest in you beyond just the wedding event itself. By getting to know you, your photographer is able to better capture each special moment of your wedding day.
If you are at a loss of how to begin finding a photographer, ask your friends and family for referrals. Also, don't be afraid to ask a photographer if you may speak with past clients. Be sure to search your local phone book and the web for photographers in your area. Websites are a great way to preview a photographer's experience. Check out online bio's and portfolios to find photographers that match your own sense of style.
Once you have compiled a list of photographers, your next step is to make contact. Call or email the photographers on your list. Be sure to ask about date availability, packages & pricing, and their specialties in photographic styles. You will also want to arrange for a time to meet in person. Both you and your fiancé should attend this meeting...after all, both of you will be having your pictures taken and you both need to feel comfortable.
Here are some questions we are commonly asked about our wedding photography.....
What is your philosophy on photographing a wedding?
Our philosophy is simple...capture each detail, expression, and embrace, for today is a special day. Wedding photography should always tell a story, and our goal is to tell your romance in our images.
How many photographers will be at my wedding?
This is a family owned business, and we try to always attend a wedding as a pair. However, there are rare instances when only one of us will be able to attend. Luckily those instances are few and far between.
How many images are normally taken?
On average we take around 600 images for an 8 hour wedding. Less hours equals less images taken, and more hours generally means more images taken.
Will you shoot in color and black & white?
Our images are shot digitally, and can be altered accordingly.
How long will posed pictures take?
Depending on the size of the group pictures to be taken, pictures can take 30 minutes to 1 hour. Larger groups always take a bit longer than smaller groups. However, when trying to plan out the time for pictures between the ceremony and the reception...always allow 15-20 extra minutes for a buffer.
How long will it take to receive our proofs?
Proof images are made available 1-2 weeks after the wedding event.
How will proof images be given to us?
Our proofs are available for online viewing at no cost.
Will we be able to purchase the proof images?
Yes! You may purchase a negative release if it is not already included in your wedding package. This allows you to receive all your wedding images in high resolution format, and you will be able to print them where ever you would like.
Do you charge over-time?Yes. Our packages are for specific amounts of time, and we will charge over-time if we go past that time frame. We charge $100.00 per hour for our over-time, or can bump you up to the next package.
Are there travel charges?
Yes. We charge .50 cents per mile for any location outside of the Las Vegas Metro area. This charge is calculated from our office location to the ceremony site and back to our office. If you would like a quote, please ask.
What is your payment & cancellation policy?
We require a $300.00 deposit to reserve your wedding date. This deposit will be applied as a credit towards your final bill and is non-refundable should cancellation occur. The remainder of your cost does not have to be paid until you receive your final invoice the week before the wedding event. We currently only accept checks, cash or money orders, and we are very willing to work with you on a payment schedule.
Are taxes included on my final bill?
Yes. We do apply taxes in accordance with the Clark County and State of Nevada tax codes.
